☀️ Light in. Heat Out 🪟
Work with the sun, not against it.
Close curtains or blinds on windows in direct sunshine to help stop heat building up indoors. ☀️
You don't need to keep every curtain closed all day. Instead, follow the sun. Once the sun has moved on, open them again to enjoy the daylight.
It's a simple habit that can help keep your home more comfortable during warmer weather. 🏡

🎉 More great news for our Supporting Your Neurodivergent Child resource!
We’re really pleased that Citizens Advice Braintree & South Essex will soon be receiving copies to share with families across Basildon, Brentwood, Rayleigh, Grays and Canvey. 🧡
Another trusted local service helping us get practical neurodivergence information and support into the hands of families who need it.
A big thank you to Citizens Advice for supporting our work. 🧡

Absolutely awesome x
You said. We listened. 💬🧡
We asked children, young people and families what they’d like to see from STRM and they had plenty of ideas!
From sports, crafts and teen activities to days out, workshops and support for independence, their ideas are helping shape what we do next. ♾️

We build support based on what families tell us they need.
Recent launches include:
Drop-ins. Workshops. 1:1 guidance. Whole-family support — not just a chat.
As new programmes open, this is where you’ll see them first.
We are proud that STRM’s lived-experience approach is being recognised locally and nationally.
Recent milestones include:
• Shortlisted for a national SEND award for partnership working
• Supporting Your Neurodivergent Child resource distributed to over 18,000 families
• Growing team of trustees, staff and volunteers with lived experience
• Cross-sector partnerships with local authorities and health partners
Every award and milestone reflects the families who trust us and the community that continues to grow around them.
