Paperwork - absolutely hate it! Constant advocacy, SEN law, anticipatory & physical support caring, specialised food chef- changes on texture & taste bud bordem, neuro translation & neuro interpretation to neurotypicals and government entities, SEN therapist, OT therapy, mediating and bridging neurodiverse language (this is now easier in education, with ap and primary knowing how to do this and challenging educational limits in their way to push them in a positive way). Other than that, it's a walk in the park 😂🫣
We got a plan!!!! A notification came in Sunday midnight 🕛 I’m so happy I could cry 😭
Paper work lol , trying to get people to see ur child needs help , think also there is no work as such like the looks from other parents , while this isn't work but it takes a great deal of work not to let it bother you
Maggie popped into Waitrose & Partners Southend this weekend, somehow ended up with loads of tokens and popped them straight into our box 👀
If you’re shopping or even just passing, grab a handful and pop them in for STRM.
We’re not funded by the Local Authority or the NHS, so all our support services have to be fundraised for, so do support us as this really does make a difference.
Thank you 🧡

Excellent
I had not taken any tokens for my last 20 shops so we put our accumulated stash in there too. 😁
Love it 🥰
Our May timetable is here 🧡
Take a look at what’s on and join us when it works for you.

We build support based on what families tell us they need.
Recent launches include:
Drop-ins. Workshops. 1:1 guidance. Whole-family support — not just a chat.
As new programmes open, this is where you’ll see them first.
We are proud that STRM’s lived-experience approach is being recognised locally and nationally.
Recent milestones include:
• Shortlisted for a national SEND award for partnership working
• Supporting Your Neurodivergent Child resource distributed to over 18,000 families
• Growing team of trustees, staff and volunteers with lived experience
• Cross-sector partnerships with local authorities and health partners
Every award and milestone reflects the families who trust us and the community that continues to grow around them.
