MEMBERSHIP (FREE)

  • Available to families living in Castle Point, Rochford and Southend
  • Delivered through our Early Intervention Pathway, including appointments, workshops and online support.
  • Delivered by a team of SEND parents and carers with lived experience, DBS-checked and trauma-informed

Who can register

  • Families living in Castle Point, Rochford and Southend
  • Parents and carers of children and young people (0–25) who may need extra support
  • No diagnosis required

Families outside these areas can still access our open support across Essex

Bouldering Club with Indirock

Our STRM Bouldering Club runs every Wednesday during term time at Indirock, Southend.

This session is for STRM members and is suitable for children and young people aged 6–17 with diagnosed, suspected or emerging SEND needs.

Bouldering is climbing without ropes, using soft mats, colour, movement and fun. It can help children and young people build confidence, coordination, strength, problem-solving skills and independence.

When: Wednesdays, 4:30pm – 5:30pm Term Time Only
Where: Indirock, Victoria Shopping Centre, Southend-on-Sea
Age: 6–17
Booking: Bookable for STRM members only
Supervision: Parents/carers must stay during the session

New families will need to register with STRM before accessing the booking link.

Warm Wednesdays - Centre of Warmth Drop-In – for SEND Parents & Carers at STRM HQ, Benfleet

Support available includes:

Neurospicy Minds for Women at STRM HQ, Benfleet

You asked for a space just for you.
Not parenting. Not firefighting. Not masking.
A space to connect, reflect and breathe.
So we built it.

Peer-led and therapist-supported Led by Maggie Cleary (CEO, STRM) & Tanika Falmer (Vital Minds Counselling)

Time 6:30pm  8:00pm

19th May, 16th June, 21st July, 15th September, 20th August

Neurospicy Minds for Women is a relaxed, adult-only support space for ADHD and autistic women including those who self-identify.

Open to STRM Members and Essex women.
STRM Members receive priority booking.

Each month focuses on a different theme, including identity, burnout, masking, emotional regulation, relationships and self-advocacy.

Sessions include:
• Guided peer discussion
• Accessible psychoeducation
• A short movement break
• Structured reflection
• Tea and coffee

There is no pressure to share. You are welcome to take breaks at any time.
You do not need a formal diagnosis to attend.
This is a facilitated peer support space, not therapy.

Registered members receive the password through regular emails and WhatsApp updates (if consent was given at registration).

Led by Maggie Cleary, CEO of STRM (SEND the Right Message), ADHD diagnosed, trained in trauma-informed practice and a Level 5 Safeguarding Lead, alongside Tanika Farmer from Vital Minds Counselling. A qualified integrative counsellor registered with BACP and NCPS, with specialist training in eating disorders, safeguarding and neurodivergence-related mental health, who also works in counselling education.
