A peer-led workshop for parents and carers

This three-hour, peer-led workshop is for parents and carers who are newly navigating autism and/or ADHD. Whether your child has a diagnosis or you’re still exploring what support might help.

The session focuses on real-life, practical support and what day-to-day life can look like after diagnosis or identification.

After Diagnosis Course

Friday 7 February 2026 | 10:00am – 1:00pm

Shoeburyness Youth and Community Centre
Delaware Road, Shoeburyness

Southend-on-Sea, Essex, SS3 9NS

Together, we’ll explore:

  • Executive functioning – why some everyday tasks feel harder and how to support them

  • Sensory processing – understanding sensory needs and what can help

  • Anxiety, stress and emotional overload in neurodivergent children

  • Ways to become more neurodivergent-informed in our parenting and caring roles

This three-hour introductory workshop is for parents and carers who are beginning to explore neurodivergence and want to better understand their child.

The session supports families who may be wondering whether their child could be autistic and/or have ADHD, and who are at the early stages of learning what this might mean. It offers a gentle, accessible introduction to neurodiversity, with time to learn, reflect and ask questions alongside other parents and carers at a similar point in their journey.
